Yelp! it’s a Zync.

After reading Dean Whitney’s review of Zync, I decided to check it out. I joined. It’s awesome. The site goes into more depth than any other site I’ve been on in Boston for local events. If you sneeze on South Street you’re likely to find it as an event on Zync. It looks pretty, too.

I have a wish and a concern however. My wish is that I can easily bookmark the events I wish to attend with having to dig deep into the details of the event. My concern is as soon as local promoters discover this site the quality of the events will decrease.

Through Zync I found out that John Irving is speaking this Tuesday.  See Yelp for a more robust description.

Blog changes

I’ve decided to make some changes to my blog. In the past it’s felt like I’m writing to this nameless, faceless community of readers who may or may not like what I have to say. I’ve often used a professional tone, and I write about things that are related to my interests and my career—they are often similar.

I’m about to take this blog in a more personal direction and to write for the few friends whose opinion I respect and with whom I hope to publically debate and to explore the common issues about which we’re both passionate.

If you want my business thoughts, I’ll encourage you to check out my company’s blog at www.refineandfocus.wordpress.com. The content is aimed at marketing professionals with a focus on the media industry.

Let the fun begin…
